The Electric Cars Society of East Africa (ECSEA) has officially recognized MIE GROUPS through an honorary membership award, strengthening a strategic collaboration focused on accelerating electric mobility, promoting innovation, and advancing sustainable transportation solutions across East Africa.

The partnership will support EV & Mobility Kenya 2026, taking place from 9–11 December 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya. The event will serve as a key platform bringing together international manufacturers, investors, government representatives, technology providers, and mobility leaders to connect, collaborate, and shape the future of sustainable transportation in Africa.

Following approval by the ECSEA Executive Committee, MIE GROUPS has been awarded Honorary Membership in recognition of its contribution to promoting international trade, investment, industry collaboration, and sustainable development initiatives.

In addition, Zahoor Ahmed, Vice President – Strategy & Partnerships at MIE GROUPS, has been admitted as an Individual Member of ECSEA. In recognition of his leadership, commitment to international partnerships, and contribution toward advancing sustainable mobility, the ECSEA Executive Committee has unanimously appointed Zahoor Ahmed as an Honorary Board Member of the Electric Cars Society of East Africa, effective immediately.

These recognitions represent a significant milestone in strengthening cooperation between ECSEA and MIE GROUPS, united by a shared vision to accelerate Africa’s transition toward sustainable transportation while creating new opportunities for innovation, investment, and industry growth.
